Matt Davis is a Toronto-based composer and sound designer whose work spans television, long-form entertainment, interactive media and advertising. His music and audio design have been featured across Canadian and international media landscapes.

His television credits include music for The National Parks Project (a Gemini-, Genie- and Juno-winning cross-platform documentary project) and the CSA-winning animated series Numb Chucks (YTV, Cartoon Network). Additionally, he composed for the iconic Canadian children’s brand Caillou (Peacock, WildBrain) and served as both composer and writer on ABC with Kenny G (TVO), further showcasing his ability to blend musical authorship with narrative storytelling.

Matt also contributed as composer to the acclaimed animated preschool series 16 Hudson (TVO), a show recognized with multiple international honors, including the MIPCOM Diversify TV Excellence Award, two Leo Awards for Best Youth/Children’s Series and Best Writing, Telly Awards and nominations for the Canadian Screen Awards, Youth Media Alliance Awards and Pulcinella Awards for its excellence in children’s programming.

In addition to his TV work, Matt’s compositions have been licensed for use in major motion-picture trailers, including Jurassic World, Interstellar and Captain Marvel.

As a partner at Drastic Music + Technology, Matt produced award-winning audio content for a wide range of applications, focusing particularly on interactive experiences such as websites, video games and installations.

A true music maker at heart, Matt is also a multi-instrumentalist whose creative reach goes beyond scoring — bringing a rich musicality and a deep understanding of sound design to every project.
